NC State’s Collegiate Wind Competition team, designing and building innovative wind energy systems.

Our Story

Wolfpack Wind represents NC State University in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Collegiate Wind Competition, where student teams from across the country design, build, and test innovative wind turbine technology. Our team combines hands-on engineering with business planning and outreach, preparing students to tackle real-world challenges in renewable energy. Through this competition and our outreach efforts, including maintaining the team’s official website, we aim to advance awareness of clean energy and inspire the next generation of leaders in sustainability.

Luke Caffarey is our president, and works on the mechanical engineering team.
